Commerical Chillers

Commercial Chillers

The Origin Of Commercial Chillers
Think of all the instances where heat needs to be removed from liquid. Then, think of all the instances where high temperatures need to be significantly reduced. This gives you have an idea the use of commercial chillers. In rooms where perishables are stored, for example, heat reduces purity and quality in a short span of time. A commercial chiller changes high temperatures to colder, more compatible temperatures. Most commercial chillers utilize a refrigerant to help retain cold temperatures in commercial freezers, storage and refrigerated trucks. Imagine the neighborhood ice cream truck without a commercial chiller? Or your local meat market without a commercial freezer? Localities with high humidity levels also require commercial chillers.

Commercial Chillers And Heat Absorbents
In most cases, the reactive component in a commercial chiller is the chemical absorbent that absorbs heat and reduces the temperature. In actuality, commercial chillers are relatively simple in composition. There are basically only four components. A condenser that changes heat to water vapor, the compressor, an evaporation unit and the metering device that acts as a gauge for the mechanical operation. Commercial chillers store high heat into cooling chambers and the devices change it to water, cooling the temperature.

Freon
The chemical used in a commercial chiller is usually known as Freon, although there may be other varieties of refrigerant chemicals used. In recent years, there has been a change in environmental laws with regard to the use of older refrigerants believed to build up green house gases. Newer refrigerants that are more environmentally compliant are presently in use. The technology for commercial chillers may remain the same where the equation is high heat and compression of heat to lower temperatures that form water vapors, while refrigerants assist in the cooling process. The only alteration to the original process of chillers will likely be when a switch to alternative energy becomes mandatory. Chillers that operate presently on fossil fuels such as gas or electricity will be required to upgrade to newer alternative energies. The effects on commercial chillers is as yet unknown.

How Important Are Commercial Chillers?
If global temperatures are indeed on the rise as a result of greenhouse gases, the inevitability is that commercial chillers will increase to keep pace with higher temperatures and higher humidity. Commercial chillers are used in large industrial facilities as well as smaller businesses and residences. The size of the commercial chiller depends on the volume of use. The commercial chiller process, though relatively simple and easy to understand, does require professional installation and maintenance as with any commercial equipment to insure durability and long-term functionality. The number of commercial chillers in use globally proves the obvious assumption of necessity.

Where Commercial Chillers Are Used
Although most people relate the use of commercial chillers to food, water and other beverages, there are commercial chillers that are not always used for the purpose of freezing processes. As an example, many florist suppliers require commercial chillers that are below the average room temperature. Certain areas of hospitals also require low room temperatures. This may also be true of museums, archives and other buildings that store art and antiquities that are subject to destruction from abnormally arid or high temperatures. This is why commercial chillers are so effective in daily living.

I don't know why, but the title made me think of a chiller movie. Some of my family are "in" the refridgeration repair business. They are really busy all summer long.
